MEMORANDUM OF URGENT CALL FROM THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH YEMEN TO THE PRESIDENT OF USA. TO INTERVENE TO STOP THE MISERABLE INHUMANE SITUATION IN SOUTH YEMEN Date: 08/25/2008
Dear Sir Honorable : - PRESIDENT OF THE UNTED STATE OF AMERICA Mr : George W. Bush
On behalf of the People of South Yemen, in the Diasporas, especially in North America we would like to express our appreciation to the great human role that your honorable country (U.S.A) is playing in supporting justice, freedom and democracy and the great support for the just struggle of nations against aggression, dictatorship and colonization all over the world. The nations of the world are proud and grateful for your great services for humanity. Allow us to put forth before you and your great country this memorandum about the grievous and sad situation our people live in South Yemen. All of that because of the grievous aggression and suppression from the occupied regime in North Yemen with the ******ship of General Ali Abdullah Saleh.Our nation has been under occupation since 1994, suffering all kinds of aggression, displacement and exile. Our people are forced to flee and pushed out of our country. And the denigration of our culture, history and heritage has been an organized crime committed by the State. Illegal confiscations of our land and resources to disturb the efforts of development of our nation in public and private spheres have been a daily practice of the Occupied Authorities. The massive lay off of the Southerner Yemeni from their government positions and replacing them with regime loyalist transformed the government to gangs of thugs, criminals and murderers. This regime has become protector and supporter to organized terrorism inside and outside Yemen. th Military Occupation Authorities have imposed a media siege on south Yemen, until the whole nation became a big prison. This regime has been lying to the whole world especially to the United Nations, the United States and the Arab League with a barrage of deceiving propaganda full of lies and twisted facts.The people of South Yemen have witnessed the human role your great country has played to support nations under occupation and aggressions. So, turning a blind eye towards the vicious crimes committed against our people will not only encourage the regime in Yemen to do more and more but also will undermine the international effort to establish peace and security in the Arabic Peninsula and especially the Persian Gulf. All this will lead to more instability in the region which will only support terrorism in the world and particularly in that strategic part of the world.Our people in South Yemen has been taking and will continue to take the non-violent struggle to demand its basic human right, and will continue to fight politically to liberate our people from the state of terrorism committed by the current regime of our nation. More than 30 people peaceful protesters were killed by live bullets and more than 700 people were put in prison. All of what these innocent people are looking for is justice, freedom and democracy. The Occupied Forces. have arrested and imprisoned thousands of journalists, lawyers, human rights activists, intellectuals of all kinds and former military generals. Every South Yemeni has become a stranger in his own home and his own country. They have no access to education, health care and the basic human needs. All this is happening through an organized form of state terrorism. Citiesand villages are under siege by military tanks and airplanes. Religious and ethnic discrimination have been implemented on our people. We have tens of documented incidents with pictures and witnesses which will be made available before your respected organization upon your request. For the sake of all human principals, we urgently appeal to your honorable organization ....
we urgently appeal to your honorable organization to send adelegation to investigate the crimes committed by the occupied forces against innocent children, women, and elderly without any justified reason. In the name of our nation of South Yemen, we appeal to your respected organization to end the suffering of our people through the following: A. Reopening the file of South Yemen number (924-931). You are our last refuge and you are the supporters of all oppressed and struggling people. B. Releasing all the political prisoners including: 1. Mr. Hasan Ahmed Ba’oom 2. Mr. Ali Munasser Muhammad 3. Ali Haithem Al-Ghareeb 4. Yahya Ghaleb Al-Sha’abi 5. Ahmed Omar Ibn Fareed 6. Hasan Ibn Zaid C. Intervening to remove the military siege around the South Yemen cities. Also to remove the military check points and stop the continuous attack on the innocent unarmed civilians. D. Returning the money and land which was confiscated by the Military Forces. E. Helping the South Yemeni people to obtain its liberty and freedom like all free nations. Finally, in the name of our nation of South Yemen, we put forth this request to the entire free nations in this world which are represented in your great country, the United State of America help our oppressed people in South Yemen. You are truly the supporters of all oppressed and struggling people.
